How to Stay Consistent

All successful people have one thing in common. They are Consistent. To be successful at any endeavor it takes consistent hard work over weeks, months, and years. It's not going to happen overnight, but building good habits everyday will bring you one step closer to what you want to achieve. Heading into our nutrition challenge, here are 3 tips to help you stay consistent for the next 6 weeks and beyond.

Plan Ahead

At the beginning of each week look at your calendar and see what you have going on. RSVP for your workouts for the week. If it is important to you, you will make time! Plan time to go to the grocery store and meal prep for the week. If you know you have a lunch meeting, plan accordingly. Look up the restaurants menu online know exactly what you are going to order. Failure to prepare is preparing to fail.

Eat Good Food

Discover a new love for cooking. Try new dishes. Experiment. Healthy food is not bland boring food. Instead it should taste good and fuel you so you feel great! Uses spices and new recipes to keep it fresh. Once you've found what you like, stick to it!

Have Fun Working Out

Find a class time that works best with your schedule and encourage friends to go at the same time, or make some NEW friends. Get to know the people in your class, high five and encourage each other. The fun is in the community and the friendships. We're all in this together!

Through this journey always remember to stay patient and celebrate every small victory along the way. Every time you get to the gym when you really felt like staying in bed, every time you pass on the pimento cheese burger and order the hangar steak salad, every personal record, and every pound lost is reason to celebrate. Congratulations! You're one step closer. Now do it again, and again, and again, etc.
